Psychotherapy + Dreamwork

I have been working and studying in the field of psychotherapy and dreamwork for over 44 years. People generally seek psychotherapy for help with the pain and suffering of psychological symptoms including anxiety, depression, destructive behavior toward self and others, difficulty in personal relationships, substance abuse and a myriad of others. Through careful listening and a collaborative process, I help my patients to understand their psychological symptoms and to relate them to lived experience. I encourage patients to remember their dreams and bring them into the treatment. We can then work together in a creative process toward integration, healing and conscious living.

And I am experienced in bereavement work with patients who have lost a close friend or family member, survivors of incest and domestic abuse, and those recovering from illness and accidents. I volunteered weekly at the Rainbow Hospice with individuals at end of life and their families. And I am certified as an end of life doula.

I am also an expert at using the astrological horoscope as a guide in the psychotherapeutic process. Although it is optional, I can use it to help steer the client to the issues that need exploration. Utilizing the horoscope in the treatment process also creates a sense of trust and openness.

I have been trained in both Jungian and Freudian psychoanalysis and bring an eclectic approach to my work. I am also deeply interested in mythology, literature, film, and art as a rich means to understand the complex experience of living life.
